why is it that the 'Open MXI' 'Save MXI' functions under the 'File' menu in my Maxwell Viewer are always disabled? I'm running Maxwell 1.22a on a G4.

Same here on G5. I guess that it's not working yet.

I made an MXI yesterday with the latest of everything on my g5. Worked fine. Didn't try to open an MXI though.

You right click, open with, the file you want to be a mxi. Choose Maxwell. That will open Maxwell, but won't open the file. Go to the menu and choose open then navigate to the file you right clicked on. It should then open in the Maxwell window. Adjust intensity etc then save as a .mxi.

This .mxi you load as a custom emitter material in the luminosity channel I believe. Thats the way I do it in Lightwave and it seems to work.

Maxwell is greyed out in the "open with" dialog when i try this.
Does it have anything to do with me using 10.3.9?
Havent tried this on 10.4.1 yet.

In the "open with" window that opens, look at the top. It will say "suggested applications" or all applications. Change it to all then should be able to choose Maxwell

Does anyone succeed to translate an HDR image?
I can only open LDR and in tga format, not tiff :-/
