Hi guys, I need to create something like this:
https://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d ... ng/1083074
Since I am using Rhino to animate my scene and render everything via the Maxwell plugin, does anyone have an idea on how to generate these kind of flames?
Cheers Q!

low sl test (frame from anim)
Motion blur can work well, but I have no experience with rhino.

Might be overkill for your situation, that animated burner used length-scale and rotation, but you need to play with the timing to get a smooth effect, I am looking for simpler technique reference posted rusteberg;

I also found this render though, no idea where it comes from;

Also found this mb test which uses per frame timing of the spline radius scale to make a 'light trail'

NICE!!!!!!!
Thanks so much, I am also working on something similar.
I also want to have the flames move along a straight line of burner holes and change size while doing so just like in the animation on the turbo squid link above....
Tricky though. I keep you posted.
