here don't work... maxwell app jump in the dock for one time and nothing else... the application close.

Anybody have the same problem?

..tomorrow I try on my G5 dual in office... the last beta on my G5 dual start with no problem.

Took off on my G5 - no problem. Still having troubles with emitter, but not Maxwell crashes so far.

you have installed g4 version of maxwell, haven't you? please check if you have installed the g5 one instead. We have tested this new version in g4 without bugs.

yes on the iMac G5 I have installed MR for G5 and on my powerbook I have installed MR for G4.
Here in office on G5 dual MR don't have problems.

The Pb G4 have a system not so much clean... I'm reformatting... after 2,5 years I think it's necessary.

My iMac G5 have only 2 weeks of life and the system is clean... it is possible than the problem is the mono cpu?

My compliments at all the NL team... the new beta is really faster!!!

Intalled Maxwell for G4 and notthing, the same thing of the iMac G5 : one jump in the dock and notthing else...

Same here. G5 Dual 2gHz. Double clicking the app just bounces it once then closes. Works fine form Lightwave but thats not so good for hdr to mxi conversions. Every version I've installed has done this.

This is the way I do it for mxi's.

Right click and pick Maxwell to open the file. When it opens then go to the menu bar and pick open file. In the window that opens (windoze version) navigate to the file again and it should open. Then you can convert and save.

The installations on both of my machines will only give me a bounce in the dock if I double click them. To render I drag my MXS files onto the Maxwell icon, and Maxwell then opens and starts rendering.

On Pb G4 and on iMac G5 Maxwell don't start with double click or with the drag onto MR icon in the dock or on the original icon aplication.

Open /Applications/Utilities/Console and watch the messages that appear in Console main window while maxwell is trying to start.

opening the console I have see what is the problem:

yylex: ERROR.
License not valid. Program aborted.
Please Register Maxwell.

Than I read the license and I see the problem: the license.txt file is caps lock sensitive: I have write HM52 workshop but my program is licensed with HM52 Workshop

Now maxwell are rendering very well and fast on all my mac

same here... did 4 times a complete reinstall.
Only one bounce in the dock and then closes... even more funny when i pressed render in c4d it opened excel...

Please fix this!!!

dual g5 2ghz

hi rizon,

ctrl+click on an mxs file and choose "open with.." and choose maxwell. Ensure that there are no more maxwell applications apart from beta (alphas...) laying around.
