3.1 two new features released

I really like that floating shadows and reflections feature, especially where you can choose block colours for your background. Such a shame it's only available in FIRE though... Would be a great full render feature.

Hi Rob,

Developing Floating Reflections for the Production engine is easy and we will try to implement it for a next subversion. Floating Shadows in the Production engine will be a bit more complicated (because of Multilight, mainly) and will be some more research.

I can only speak for myself, but Floating Shadows in the Production Engine without Multilight support would be fine by me. If I had to choose to only have Multilight or Floating Shadows on a given render, I would choose Floating Shadows at least 80% of the time. Multilight is pretty useless with my preferred Maxwell lighting setup (IBL) anyway.
