Any success with "Extra Sampling" feature?

Hi,

I cannot make extra sampling work. Everything seems to keep rendering full frame.

I launched a render (from 3dsmax) specifying paths for mxi and mxs and with a custom alpha active for a box in the scene. I let render get to SL8 and stop it; then activate Extra Sampling, select custom alpha (which rendered fine), set SL to 20, and resume render. It keeps rendering the full frame. The same thing happens with a bitmap loaded.
I'm using Maxwell 3.0.99.3 and plugin version 3.1.2

Any one else?

Where do you set the SL 20, in the global SL, or in the extra-sampling parameters SL?

In the extra-sampling parameters.

Can you tell me the value of the parameters surrounded by red in the image, after the resume?

Ok, got it!

The render goes on full frame until global SL has been reached and then continues with the extra-sampling region, right?

After posting the capture I tried with global SL4 and extra-sampling 20 and it worked fine.

Success finally!

I have to say though that while this behavior is correct and quite predictable specially for animations I thought that by just activating extra-sampling the render would continue on that region from current SL.
Usually with interior stills I just set a very long time and high SL and stop it when I feel it's ok. In this case I would have to stop, set a lower global SL, activate extra-sampling, resume and wait for the full frame to reach the new global. Maybe an option to "from now on continue only on extra-sampling region" would be useful.
