just one small tip (but with a big effect) for all those having problems installing MXW on OSX. take care to have only ONE 'clickable' application of MXW on your running system. zip or stuff the unused maxwell apps, because they can cause a lot of troubles to the system. this particular behaviour seems to be caused by the fact that we are basically using a commandline application which needs to be assigned a working environment.

also, take care to use a utility like cocktail to clean up all caches and to reboot after the installation process.
