ccd in Your camera is broken due to laser light.

is it cooperative render ? or single machine ?

looks pretty like simulens effect . something like anizotropy refracted lens

nice effect BTW.
I think it all ends with sending .mxs to NL after 4 pages of try&guess . so just send it right now.
They have direct view into core.

got the problem on an other render.
I discover that happened when the update stay on "waiting" and the writing on the mxi file bugs.
The render continue but it's not writed on the disk or in the file.
When I stop the render maxwell show a new update and the stipes are there. The mxi file is also updated with the problem.
The status bar never show 100%. After that maxwell can't quit.

Is there are solution to this problem? I've just let a render run over the weekend and it has reached SL 23.08. Both Next SL and Update are frozen on "Waiting" and there are light bands across the render. Can't save anything as all the options are greyed-out in the File menu. Really hope I can salvage this, as it's a two-day render!
Any thoughts?

The best way a found to save a 96h render was to re-render the whashed zone (renderregion).
I think that the problem is due to a save to a networked disk. I do my render on my machine, but the mxi is saved on the server.
The server was set on a sleepmode during the night, and I think caused the problem.
Now I save the render only on my hard disk.
By the way, can NL confirm this?
