Studio colors not sticking and material preview crash

It seems that every iteration of Studio gets worse. In the current version the interface colors change (text getting dark and almost unreadable) until I go to preferences and click general-appearence-color button, then they show as expected. However, after a few operations they change back. Trashing prefs do not help.
In addition I am not able to preview materials. If I change parameters a few times and update the material preview, the application crashes.
I'm starting to look for alternative renderers, Studio is getting too buggy for a productive workflow.

I agree with the colors. They start different then when you touch them in the preferences. This is a bug that needs quick repair.
Opening mxm's in Studio, probably older ones causes Studio to crash, at least a lot of the times. Haven't had the time to check what mxm's exactly cause the problem.
Material preview works fine for me although I never click preview when Maxwell is rendering in the background.
I use Studio a lot at my work and I would not say its beyond usuable. It needs some checking and repair but I get the job done. Just hope NL reads this forum and updates the OSX version quickly.

I contacted tech support and they sent me a new set of qt libraries. While I have not verified it on my 8 core work station, my 2 core old macbook pro seems to like it. Interface colors seems to stay, preview no longer crash and the interface seems much more workable during renders.

I want to clarify the libraries are not quicktime but Qt ( from Trolltech now owned Nokia). We use them for our UI in all platforms.
They updated their last stable version just last week that's why we could provide you a new set of libraries today, after building and testing them a bit. But they are not fully tested and we are not sure if they have any new regression or other problems, so we prefer to send it to the customers who reported us this problems, and they can check if they behave better.
If they work well we will distribute it to all our mac users in the next patch. If any other user is facing this problem please contact with support through the customer portal, we will be really glad to send them to you to check if everything works as it should.
Thanks a lot

The problem of colors is solved as far as I can see in version 2.1
But the instances visabilty needs to be set to all everytime you start a mxs session. The preferences for the instances is not saved.
Then in the material panel the preference for the texxture map visability is not saved either. You need to set the desired mapping each mxs session. Depending on the order of the map list.
Version 2.1 is a good upgrade though and does show NL is commited to get it right.
