tomorrow i try to load a mxs file in mac os x that i saved under windows xp, but crashes...not more then crashes
anyway ,this is only one of many trys run maxwell under Mac OS X
after 2 weeks of trying to work with MR v.2 (in different ways), day for day but only error and crashes

now i deleted maxwell render v2 from my Mac OS X scratch ,
cant working with that , from my opinion since the beta of MR not only a single update or release
was stable enough to runs on mac osx.
in the future i will not pay a cent for any major update releases if it runs not stable enought under mac os X

pro: MR v2 runs much better and stable enough under bootcamp.

boilerhead-

A few questions:
Are you able to open your scene in Studio OSX?
Can you create a scene from scratch with MW OSX and get it to render?
Does the current scene you are trying to render in OSX work (render) on your XP machine?

I hear your frustration...I've been traveling this road getting scenes on an XP machine to render in OSX...I've twice uninstalled and re-installed OSX (both leopard and snow leopard), I've uninstalled and reinstalled MW 2 and have tested drives and ram.

Here's what I learned after spending a lot of time figuring it out -- my crashes were the result of material conflicts ie. bad paths when I would export a scene from my XP machine to OSX -- you really need
to look at that as a likely cause. You can see materials where there is a conflict in OSX...they do not preview properly in Studio. Those materials should be removed and replace them with updated material.
