How does OS X on Intel affect maxwell development?

As i've seen this posted on Cgtalk-C4D... i was wondering how next limit handles this?

No problem at all, it makes it easier for us since the G4/G5 CPU are different and force us to adapt the code specifically for them. With a Intel CPU this problem vanishes.

nice to hear, but PLEASE don't let this affect your plans for an optimised M~R for the G5. It's a long way to MacTel yet!

For that matter, G4 & G5 optimizations, i do not have the money to buy a G5 and now with the MacIntel i will not buy a G5, now i'm stuck with G4.
