Maxwell Render | Official public forum

Installed Maxwell 2 on my Mac Laptop. Can't get it to even launch anything... any of the native Maxwell render apps all crash out before even launching... restarted... reinstalled... all the usual no brainer things....

Any ideas?

Could you post more info about the crashes?, What is the crash message? what the crashing report says? What's ecxactly yu r hardware?

Ok,

1- Could you check if it showed any message when crashing in Console (/Applications/Utilities/Console.app),

2- Could you try restarting Studio or Maxwell in 32 bits (Select Studio in Finder and do: File->Get Info, once there select "Run in 32 bits") and check if it works or post also the crashing message.

Now we have some more useful info,

It looks like the Libs folder (not library) of your Maxwell installation is not correct, and there are some missing pieces there. Did you checked the .dmg file was correct (did it verify it correctly when opened?), may be it got corrupted during download. How did you installed, did you drop the Maxwell 2 folder to your Applications directory?. You cannot run it directly from the image disk. Could you please download it again from the download server and install again.

Hello Nachob,

I have no interest in derailing this thread... but any chance you could help me (and others) trouble shoot why FormZ crashes every time we try to load any 2.0 mxm.

Your help (or anyones!) would be greatly appreciated.

Glad it worked, what you were reporting was really strange, since we have had no reports similar to this and many of the testers were in 10.5.

I'm afraid that bug referred in the thread is very plug-in oriented and cannot help you right now, tomorrow in the morning when I arrive to the office I will try to find where those problems come from.
