[SOLVED] Can not render region through Studio on OS X

Hi,
When I use the Render region tool in Studio, nothing happens. It exports all the objects, but never launches the Maxwell render core app.
Why could this be? Are there any logs similar I can look at to see what happens?

Simple test, I open Studio, Load the Simball scene and try a Render Region. Maxwell is never launched. All other render modes work (even Render region in viewport)

what version of OSX are you using?

I'm running Snow Leopard. I tried Re-installing Maxwell aswell (that is, removing and re-copying the Maxwell 2 folder). I also have Maxwell 1.7 installed.

try renaming your Maxwell 2 folder to just Maxwell.

Hi bjorn,
Could you try renaming "Maxwell 2" folder to "Maxwell2", I know it sounds silly.

nachob - have just tried that, it only seems to work with the app folder titled Maxwell
Edit: got it working with Maxwell2 after a relaunch.

Changing the name of the folder "Maxwell 2" to "Maxwell2" worked for me, thank a bunch Nachob!

I used to have really finicky problems with v 1.7 Studio and area renders. I figured out that resizing the app window sort of jiggled the handle right - also try dragging the marquee another way (top right to left bottom for example).

I have the exact same problem as bjorn but my render region still does not work even after renaming the folder
It only works in the viewport mode
Any other fixes available ?

The 2.0.1 patch should solve this issue completly
