@ rickyinmotion - ok i don't know about that particular card but will check.
in the meantime go in to preferences in studio, go to viewport setting & switch off smooth antialiasing.
does it still crash after that?

What you can also try is if you're using the latest drivers for it, downgrade them a step or two and see if that helps to resolve the stability issues.

Max it is not so easy on OSX you can't downgrade.
I swith off the anti-aliasing in preference panel. Same thing crash and freeze.
Was there some beta testing on OSX version ?

Well, yes

Try to see if it's graphics card/drivers related. Open studio, close the viewport so there are no openGL viewports then import the simball scene. You're importing the simball_v2 scene?

for me it is not a graphic problem because I make a more simple thing and... crash & freeze
File -> new mxm -> crash and freeze.
Is there other osX user in the place who can confirm these bugs

If you open the mxs directly in Maxwell and render, still freezes?

I got a MacBook Pro with 10.6.1, and studio seems to be running OK.
Opened studio, made a new scene, the import a complex mxs, all good.
You may want to try to open studio from another fresh account, to see if the issue is related to you particular account.

Hi rickyinmotion,
Could you post the crash report? It could give us an idea about what is making it crash there. Also, can you see any special message printed in /Applications/Utilities/Console.app after crashing?
Thanks a lot

where can i find this ?
When my octocore crashes, i've got the famous beachball turning and turning. The only solution, I have is to unplug my machine
For info, I switch in 32 bits mode and the result is the same.
Is the new Maxwell is running only with the snow leopard ?
