we are about to check for a potential issue with apple opengl drivers and the ATI HD4870 card in a macpro (2008 or 2009). we are looking for any maxwell user with this particular card. please can you reply here or message me privately? thank you very much for helping!

do you get any white or colored horizontal 1 pixel large stripes on studio GUI or desktop when using studio 1.7.x?

uhh. not that I can remember but honestly I don't use Studio all that much. Happy to test any problematic example scenes you may have.

here it's happening with any medium complex scene...

I'll take a look at it when my card arrives Friday.
I don't use Studio much either.
I render directly from C4d (via plugin)

No Horizontal stripes here.

Loaded an mxs file, rotated camera around scene.
Tried switching between different preview modes (toon, wireframe, etc) and rotated camera again.
Resized windows.

No stripes in windows or GUI.

System:
Maxwell 1.7.1
OSX 10.5.8
MacPro Quadcore 2x3Ghz
10GB Ram
ATI Radeon HD 4870 (in Slot 2)
using with Apple 24" LED Display

Hope you resolve the issue.

ok this seems to be resolved - it was very likely a weird hardware issue with my ATI graphics card. thank you again for helping us!
