[SOLVED] Bus error

Hi,

I get the following error when trying to render from a bach script file:
Code: Select all
/Users/bjorn/Desktop/render batch: line 24: 969 Bus error /Applications/Maxwell/mxcl.app/Contents/MacOS/mxcl -mxs:"$project_folder/$job1.mxs" -o:"$output_folder/$job1.png" -mxi:"$output_folder/$job1.mxi" -t:$rendertime -r:$size -s:$samplelevel -channels:r -multilight
logout
The .MXS is exported from Rhino (Windows). I can open the file in Maxwell Studio on Mac, and render without problems (except for one of those connection failed errors because of trying to save the output image to a network path)

Best regards,

Ok, got that to work by opening the .MXS in MxStudio on Mac and going a "Pack and Go" from the File menu.

What does the bus error mean though? I allready had done a "Relocated paths" in Rhino before rendering.

If there is a network path you should write it in Windows style, something like: \\server\folder\image.mxi, and it should work.

nachob: nah, it was a network path pointing to my mac drive through parallels. //.PSF/ etc.. would not have worked on mac anyhow.
