Maxwell Studio on Leopard not working?

When trying to open any 3ds.-file in maxwell studio nothing happens. I get the same result trying both "open" and "import". Ive tried with 3ds.files generated from both Archicad and 3dstudio max.

Any ideas?

try an OBJ?
