problems with glibc 2.7

I installed 1.6 versión in DEBIAN LENNY system. This is the info:

Debian Lenny uses glibc-2.7.1.
Executing startmxst runs the program when I try to open a scene the program crash and send to stderr this message:
./startmxst: line 4: 4088 Segmentation fault $MAXWELL_ROOT/mxst $1 $2 $3 $4 $5 $6 $7 $8 $9 ${10} ${11} ${12} ${13} ${14} ${15} ${16} ${17}
