You know you can install 1.5 and 1.6 side by side- just rename the folder under Applications before installing the new one. I've got them both and they run fine. I'm actually using 1.5 Studio and rendering the files in 1.6.

Sorry, that's not actually answering your real question. :) I don't use the rotate tool, so I don't know.

why do you need to do this now ?
1.6 seems pretty robust now (apparantly cubic projectors are fixed in 1.6.1)

Broken rotation tool isnt a major problem , I was just curious .
Are rulers (numeric axis poins) visible for you in orthagonal windows ?

1.6 is unusable for me for two reasons. The cubic projector has been "fixed" by changing its behavior from all the previous versions- in a way that makes it impossible for me to use. Also, Studio crashes every time I edit the Tile X or Tile Y value in the material editor, so it's useless if you need to edit a material.
