Hi Inge,

make sure you have the latest version 1.5.0.3 and make sure that you only have one version of maxwell and its components on your machine. If you have a backup folder of maxwell on an external HD - trash it or stuff it.

You should update your prebindings... that will make start rendering when you hit the render button.

Simpliest way to do it is using "Onyx". You´ll find the update Prebinding under "optimize"...

hope that helps. cheers - bjoern

I've just started having problems with my Macbook Pro. What are prebindings? and do I really need to update them in order to get Maxwell to render from Studio? I'm sure it used to work?

Wow, where did you get 1.5.1.2 from?

The latest I got was 1.5.0.3 (June 22) which is updated to 1.5.1.0 with the patch (July 17).

Is there a newer version?

Finally got it to work.

I downloaded OnyX from the apple site http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/s ... /onyx.html and ran;

Maintenance->Optimize->Update - this redoes your prebindings!
&
Cleaning->Caches->Applications - this clears your cache.

At first Maxwell Server didn't seem to work but I then ran Maxwell Manager and then Maxwell Server (just to 'jolt' them into action!) and now everything works fine, including render using mxcl from Studio.
