Network rendering does not work

Hi,

after having used a day trying everything imagginable to get cooperative redering to work on two 8 core intel macs I would like to know if this is supposed to work at this time.

Hi claus, yes it is supposed to work. There are some limitations but very specific ones. Check it:

1-You must have "Personal File Sharing on" in both computers.
2-you must have firewall off, or at least ports range 23497-23503 open.
3-Check you can connect one with other so there are o network problems. Go->Connect to server from Finder. In server address type: afp://<ip of remote machine>. Push connect.
4-Don't select input or output files in any secondary hard drive of any of the machines involved in the rendering.
