Ok. I did some tests now and there seems to be a problem with the MacPros and the new version 1.5.

The GUI on version 1.5 runs much faster on my Dual G5 2,5 GHZ Mac running OSX 10.4.9 than on my 4 + 8 core Macpros with the same OS.

It uses 4,18 gig of ram on my 8 core machine and the rest is still unused. So I guess it is not a memory problem. Rather a maxwell for Intelmac's problem.

just started a test and the same scene actually sarted to render on my good old G5. So the problem is definately the Intel version of 1.5.


Hope someone at NL will and can look into that.

Not with every intel! The UI with macbookpro runs stunningly smoother now.

I bet it is a graphics card driver problem...
