zooming in and out problem while rendering in maxwell

Zooming in and out in Maxwell while rendering is terrible. Has always been that way but still. When I start a render I try to zoom in and out with the scroll button on my mac mouse. It always results in too far in or too far out. It would be a big time saver if there was a fit to window and a more subtle zoom function while rendering.

maybe I am doing somthing wrong, any help would be appreciated.

Same problem here. Can be really frustrating. What I find even worse is the fact that I use studio and I get the same behaviour there sometimes. (and yes when it happens I check to make sure I've got the right scale and that is not the problem.)

I think zoom is something that need to be adrressed in general by NL.

I have found that it's the apple mighty mouse which causes problems with zooming. It's great for browsing the web and for scrolling in text apps, but is way too sensitive in 3d apps such as Maxwell and FormZ. I switched to an old Macally two button mouse with a scroll wheel and zooming is much more controllable..... If you are using the mighty mouse, try changing the scrolling speed in the keyboard and mouse prefs, your normal document/web scrolling will suffer though......
