Rendered image but Grayed Out Save Menu in OSX

I've exported and opened an msx file in OSX.
The renderred image has completed but I now have no options for saving the mxi or the image...the drop down menu is grayed out.
Is there something I'm missing?

I do understand that I can put a path for when the rendered image is complete and it will save to that but I do not understand why my options for saving/loading mxs, mxi, images, etc. is otherwise grayed out.
Can someone also explain the default path for saving images that comes up when I run mxcl and how I can change the default setting...it seemingly can't be controlled? When I run mxcl even the option for setting Preferences is grayed out.
Hey other OSX users do you not have these same issues?
Suggestions much appreciated.

I have also had this happen many times. I just closed mxcl and reopened, loaded the mxi and all the options were again available.
It has not happened to me that the mxi wasn't saved, so if that is the problem I am afraid I can't help you... but for the moment this workaround, though annoying, works fine.
If you don't yet have the MXCL.term button to easily open MXCL just PM me and I'll send it to you. (Can't remember where I dl'ed it, but I found it here on the forums...)
