network rendering

hi everybody
my first post
. I'm trying to get network rendering to run but seem to have some problems with it... I managed to start the servers, the manager and the gui interface and I can also connect to the manager. I also managed to create a job and render it (at least I think so).
One problem for me is that the GUI doesn't seem to show the current SL level. Another thing is that I am unsure about the path of the mxi file... I have set the path to a netwok volume.
If I do the same with the image path, I get an error. This also make kind of sense because I guess the various servers are trying to save their image to the network drive at the same time.
this makes me feel kind of unsure about the mxi files. if the servers all use the same path they overwrite their results, don't they?
also, if I stop the current job, nothing happens, except that the servers don't render anymore. but the gui still shows the servers state as rendering... also, I can't remove those jobs... I always have to restart the manager and the gui...
thanks for help, I don't quite know if the network rendering method just is not developed enough, or if I have just maed a mistake...
thanks for any help
