My System: MacBook Pro 2.16 Intel Core Duo, Mac OSX 10.4.8

If i try to start Maxwell-Render with a click on the Programm-Icon, the Programm don't open (Icon is just for about 2Sek. jumping in the Doc).
I like to open a multylight Sceen.

My prozedre that works, but it isn't real a good workflow.
1) Make a copy from the mxi file and rename it
2) start the render with doubleclick on the mxs-File
3) stop the rendering calculation
4) open the renamed mxi file (if you dont't rename the mxi file, the calculatet lightinformation will bee deletet, because the render is starting)

Cheers
Michel

Hi Michel,

Right click the Maxwell Render (MXCL) link on your Desktop and add -d to the target line. For instance "C:\Program Files\Next Limit\Maxwell\mxcl.exe" -d in my case (Windows).
Hope that solves it / MacOS has it.

Hi Michel,
in case Adrian's route won't help you (I have no clue how to edit an alias' target line in OSX) you can drag the mxcl app icon into an open terminal window (thus copying the mxcl path in unix lingo), add "-d" and hit return.

somebody (beppeg?) did post a terminal script for that, but i can't find it right now.
