how to change the object name

is there anybody here who knows how to change the object names under osx. its driving me nuts to strugle through the object numbers 1-5 1-6 etc. i import my sketchup models in parts so for me this is almost an unworkable situation.

just found it when searched for it, hit return, this is such a relieve, i am going to bed happy now. its 1:51 in the morning.
