Dear fellow OSX user

did you succesfully download and open Thomas An's test scene? Me too. Yet when I try to adjust projectors, I find weird settings throughout the scene, like

Material (Main) projector 0
Projection type: Flat
Position: -0.0014; 0.0508; -0.7084
Orientation: 45; -200; -15
Plane-U scale: -0.0000
Plane-V scale: 0.0000
Channel ID: 0

or

Material (Main) projector 0 [a second projector with the same name..]
Projection type: [nothing]
Position: -77657971028; -0.0000; 0.0000
Orientation: 0; 0; 0
Plane-U scale: 971186034211
Plane-V scale: 0.0000
Channel ID: 164934732

Many projectors have zero scale and gigantic Channel ID..

Thomas cannot reproduce this on Windows. Can you confirm it on OSX? Is it a MXST/OSX or my private issue?

Thank You

Sebastian

Sebastian:

I have the same strange projector issues you're having. (I'm using his StandardMatScene 06-31).

In addition to what you're experiencing- MXST crashes when I click on the button to adjust the projector in Material (Main) Projector 1 for example.

It also seems like the Channel IDs, Projection Type, scale, etc. are different each time I open the scene (after restarting Studio, of course).

So you're not alone.

Tim, Derek,
thanks for the "good" news. A little comfort for me.. :?
Now lets find out what exactly is wrong.
Is anybody here equipped with both PC and Mac, or Boot Camp? Would you please try download and decompress on Windows, then open the scene on OSX and check if the projectors turn out right that way? Just an idea..
Thank you
S

Skip that. Thomas sent an uncompressed mxs and it opens with the same off projector settings.

Hi everyone. This seems to be a bug ín maxwell. If you try to change the ID Channel values, maxwell crashes. Same here.

There is one workarooung though. Open the projector window and immedately change the extreme high channel value to 0. After doing that you are able to change all other values in the above listed fields. Thats THE ONLY WAY! this works.

Hope that helps.
