Command Line rendering

hi all...

i am anxious to render via command line, but never did such things yet...

i saw the other thread about the starting of mxcl and have come to the point where mxcl seems to start in terminal and the flag syntax is shown, as also an example.

i tried to enter something but always got the error «no such directory».

i have a folder called «shlushpy» (don't ask!! :) ) which can seen in the network: (IP of the mac = 192.168.2.201)
RAID0/Users/mat/shlushpy (RAID0 being the hd name, mat being the user)

(in that dir, i make an 2 other dirs called MXS_FILES and one RENDERED, logically for the .mxs files and the output path...)

now.
how can i mell mxcl the exact path for rendering a file from:
RAID0/Users/mat/shlushpy/MXS_FILES
to:
RAID0/Users/mat/shlushpy/RENDERED

?
what are the rules for macs?
