Is downloading - thanks for sorting out whatever it was - Pats on the back to you all. Your nightmare of today will be a distant spec by next week.

you can try this software -http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/17532
copy the link from the NL mirror site (ctrl click on the link and select "copy link")
then paste this link into the ftp client and d/l

it could prove a little tricky if you haven't done it before - good-luck

alternative you could be patient and wait till tomorrow an get some sleep

Try "Speed Download" for macs. I'm now getting 9.7 kb/second instead of 1.2. The question is . . will it last?

but i haven't been able to connect to the server...

I put this adress

download.nextlimit.com

correct?

and I'm simultaniously downloading with safari.

1Kb/sec if lucky.

do you think because I am downlding with safari my ftp client can't connect to the server??

So I guess release date is like 1. may... ;-(

I get 2 KB/s. This is really outragous. Weeks to prepare, 24 h in this mess
and still no solution :-( If one mirror isn't enough, set up a second. Set up
ten for god's sake or invest in one professional service.

I have not encountered such a lousy download speed since the old modem
days.

https://secure.internetdownloadmanager. ... nload.html

Opens 16 downloads at a time (8 default). I've just downloaded textures and maxwell.exe at ~80Kb/s each.

Captures the link from your browser automatically.

Well folks, all these download enhancers just take away other user's
bandwidth. It's NL's obligation to set up a service able to handle such a load,
and they should have done this 3 days before release, not 3 day after it.

Yes, I'm really pissed.

Whose god damn brilliant idea was it to whack up 60mb of textures at the same time as the OS X download. I know no PC leeches will read this but I wish they'd wait until we've got our Maxwell before downloading some crappy textures
