I asked NL if there´s a Mac version too. Here´s what they answered:

"The Mac version will be released with the PC version. [...]
Maya Velasquez Watanabe"

Sounds good :D

Hello All,

I had the same question in mind.
I also got the same answer that the same release on the same day with the same spec.

Only time will tell but it is uplifting news.

Regards.

tsn,

Please post the note you received from Maya.

I want to read exactly what she said.

I hope we have a working, feature-complete version of Maxwell for Mac OS X.

Hello Make-A,

Here is what I got back, once I enquired into the same question, will there really be a same day Mac release?

Happy Easter ;-)

"Dear Nigel,

Thank you for getting back to me. The Mac version will be released the same time as the PC one. It will have the same functionality as well.

Should you have any further query, please let us know.
Best regards,

Maya Velasquez Watanabe"

   The Mac OS X version will be delayed a few hours

Congrats NL. Again this was a dealbreaker. Either the Mac version was
not tested until the very last minute or you haven't compiled it yet.

What kind of release planning is that?

Both versions should have been READY a week ago to justify a release.

what a joke, NextLimit once again shows themselves to be the most incompentent software company I've ever dealt with.

They've had weeks to get this sorted now. Everything should have been ready and tested 3-4 days ago. And what's up with the servers being so slow. It would cost £100-200 max to set-up a few co-located servers for a few weeks to handle the additional load.

Anyway...
