Hi

Do i really need the license.txt file to install on linux?
I've only received the license.dat file.

How about this...

I get a "license found but not valid" (just renaming license.dat to license.txt
doesn not work"

My license is valid under windows but not linux. Can anyone please help me
out here?

Yours gratefully

Thank you for your reply

Shoudn't I be able to run M~W Linux beta?
As you know I do have the license.dat file but how to I get hold on the
license.txt file?

I only bought M~W for use in linux!

Is there a way to convert the dat file to a txt file?. In the dat file there are
three things written. My name, my companys name and my serial number.
Cant i create my own license.txt file somehow? Can you look at your txt file
and show me the formatting and layout of the licens info?. Or perhaps a
file conversion from dat to txt is impossible (diffrent information)?

you should have received from NL an email with proper information regarding how to install: you need name - organization - serial n°.

then you have to generate a "licence.txt" file with the license information they gave you and put it in the installation folder. that's it.

You should e-mail them tha you are using beta, because if I remember correctly I had a serial number. Maybe they can send you a liscence.dat. SOrry I can't be of much more help, but I can't remember how it was for beta. Maybe you should post this on Maxwell render part of the forum. Usually someone sees this kind of post and they fix it right away. I don't think that they really look at this post too much.
