It doesn't render on my G4 Powerbook. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think anyone with a G4 has successfully rendered anything.

I'll get mine out again, but I'm prett sure I was rendering fine on my 17 incher. I loaded it on my dual 1 gig g4 desktop and it kees crashing when I hit render after I've mappped a texture to a material. Probably doing something wrong, but I don't recall having this problem on my laptop of G5.

I'll check out my powerbook now.

1.33 Powerbook renders fine. dual 1gig desktop renders fine if I only use the Maxwell materials.

Renders fine here on G4 1.5GHz 17 inch. Tried some textures and bumps, but there was an error message talking about too low UVW levels. Couldn't fix it yet.

But Maxwell materials work fine as well as emitters. Only the workflow is terrible. With Maxwell Studio it is one step too much between modeller and render engine.

I get the same error mesage on my dual 1GHz desktop. No such error on my 17" 1.33Ghz Powerbook. Odd.

Very odd indeed. To me the mac version seems not very well programmed for now (but I am very glad that it generally works acceptable for a RC - compared to the terrible beta version).

My bugs don't follow any pattern or specific actions. They appear one time, maybe not another time. For instance the saving mode in the Maxwell application: Sometimes I can safe the render from the menu, sometimes I cannot access the menu save function, next time it works again...

In that sense I also think a bug forum will not help at the moment, as you cannot see any consistency with the flaws.... Oh well, let's hope NL can make the app more stable...
