At least you'll see if you are having a license issue. Maybe it is corrupted or you haven't put it on the correct place.

It's up to NL to come up with a solution, and so far they haven't even acknowledged the issue.
Anyway, So far even on the G5 you can only render with the physical sky, everything else is just pitch black. You are not missing much.

Looks like you are trying on a PoweBook [G4PB:~]
Maxwell for mac does NOT work on any G4 for now.
Try again on the G5

Albert,
If you go inside Maxwell.app (view package contents) Do you have inside the folder "MacOS" a QtGui binary?
If you don't, you'll need to download Maxwell again and reinstall.

My instalation in my dual G5 2.0 is OK
I tryed to install other computer i have one IMAC G5 1,8
and no way
i type in TERMINAL
IMACg5:~ af$ /Applications/Maxwell/maxwell.app/Contents/MacOS/mxcl
dyld: /Applications/Maxwell/maxwell.app/Contents/MacOS/mxcl can't open library: /usr/lib/libstdc++.6.dylib (No such file or directory, errno = 2)

Well...actually...here works. Lots of bugs but almost stable.
