Hello Mr. Noir,
Had similar problems, until i found out that it was actually still launching an older version of Maxwell on an external drive.
You can check that by going in the OS X Activity Monitor and double clicking the Maxwell running process, and then choosing the "open files and ports " tab.
Since that was cleared up, all seems to work as advertised by NL.
License just needs to be set in MXStudio.
Emixer has a bug that has already been reported.
