Hi everybody
I am a new Maxwell user and following the first installation and use I have the following problems:

System - Solidworks 2007 SP4 with maxwell plug in - OS Win xp sp2 32bit.

Description:

1. Every render try - no matter wich viewport resolution I choose - the rendered image is clipped - meaning there is always information missing!
2. when I try to import the geometry to Maxwell Studio i get a black window.
The information is there .....but I can not see it!

And now! ...I get an error messege when I try to render.
"mxcl.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close".

I hope you can come back to me ASAP since we have a project needs to be continued urgently.
Thank you!

Hi J.

Do you have any cameras in your scene - actual SolidWorks cameras, I mean - or are you just trying to render one of the standard views? You should be able to:

- add a SolidWorks camera
- set your viewport to use that camera
- select the viewport - the corresponding Maxwell Camera settings will be shown in Scene Manager > Camera
- adjust fStop/shutter/etc.
- render to MXCL or MXST

Let me know if it helps, otherwise please tell the exact set of steps you are already using so I can let you know where something's going wrong.

Cheers,

JD
