Parts move when exported

Hi,
Images will speak better than me.
A SW assembly

The same exported and opened in Studio

This is not the first time it happens with SW 2008 SP0 and MR 1.6.1 on WinXP 32bits SP2.
Any idea to avoid this.
Thanks.
Pierre

I haven't heard of this before, I would like to see the SW files - it would be great if you could send them to me at the email in my forum profile.
Thanks,
JD

I am having something sort of similar. My models are coming in ok in position, but when I go to move some of them they rotate in weird directions instead of move when I have the move tool on. I will upload the file later on today when I get a chance.

Hi Eric,
Pierre's issue appears to be some kind of problem inside of SW - I just re-did the mates on one of the parts and it works fine. Point being, in either case, the plugin was exporting exactly what SW told it to export. What you're describing sounds more like an MXST issue, but if you want to send me the applicable SW parts, I'll take a look.
Cheers,
JD

Looking further, I am able to fix the problem on Pierre's model by simply selecting the handle part, choosing 'View Mates' from the flyout, reversing any one of the mates for the part, then reversing it back. Now the assembly will export as seen in SW.

Thanks JDHill
Does anyone have an idea on how "Mates" can be translated in my french version of SW ?

Select the handle, here's the button to view callouts for its' mates (constraints):
Now, click this button to reverse the direction, then click it again to un-reverse it:
Now it should render correctly - don't ask me why...

JD i read that there is going to be a different way to export from SWX in the update .. do you know what time frame we are looking at ?

This is quite weird - just went to post my problem and found it here. I'm having the same problem - just 3 tubes concentric mated come in at angles/not concentric.

Eric just group everything - group your groups.

Wonder if this is a problem with concentric mates
