swmaxwell 1.1.17
WinXPSP2 Updated
Clean install on fresh OS (Hard drive replaced a few days ago
Install was smooth, smaller models open and render fine, larger models CTD on open when Maxwell is enabled in Add Ins panel.
The crash occurs after model load but before the assembly window is shown.

Hi Jesper,
Are you getting this issue with the plugin we have upload today? We have fixed an issue in the loading process of large assemblies.
Thanks,
Juan

I can confirm this - it is happening here as well .
All installed OK and will render a single part - all new SW plugin and Maxwell 1.5- however when I try to open any assembly I get
the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library
Runtime Error
Program : D :\Program Files\Solidworks|solidworks.exe
R6025
- pure virtual function call
Looks like another sleepless night

Hi,
I assume both of you are using 32 bits version right?
We have done all the testing with SP3.0, we will upload to SP3.1 immediately to check if something has changed.
Also I encourage you to check that everything is properly registered. Some installers have failed so we are not sure if you have the plugin properly installed. You can download the contents of the installer from this location:
32 bits:
http://download.nextlimit.com/maxwell15 ... win_32.zip
64 bits:
http://download.nextlimit.com/maxwell15 ... win_64.zip
Inside the zip file you will find all the content of the installation, overwrite all the content of the plugin folder with this files and if the plugin is not properly loaded please follow the steps described in the text file.
Please let me know if the issue still happens, if so, could you send one of this simple assemblies to
techdesk@nextlimit.com?
Kind regards,
Juan

Done as you ask Juan - unistalled the dll and re- registered them with the new ones in the "manual zip archive and all the other instructions but no luck it still crashes.
I have sent off the simple assembly to your the email address.

Thanks Jonathan,
I have checked that it works fine here using SP3.0. We are going to test SP3.1 inmediately to see if anything has changed. I will keep you updated.

Juan

Should it work with SP0?

Thanks Juan
Tried loading on my laptop - and exactly the same result and error message - but I was loading a different simple assembly.
It too is win xp ( with full updating turned on) and sw2007 sp3.1

Probably, but you certainly don't want to work with sp0. It had a fairly extensive list of bugs.

Yes, and one of them affects directly to the camera, so sp0.0 is not good at all to work with Maxwell. We continue working in the issues. We are installing w64 in more machines trying to find what is causing that the registration process of the plugin fails. We are working 100% on that.
Kind regards,
Juan

I am also getting a Crash to Desktop when trying to launch the materials assignment tree from within the plugins materials list.
The icons on the selection filter buttons are missing as well.
Does anyone know if this is the same issue? I'm using sw2007sp3.1

w64?
I'm using w32 if that helps. Nor sure howmany people are using SW's w64 solution.
