Hi Mike,

Yes, the plugin will be updated. There are several bugs fixed and new features implemented (zclip, shift lens..) . Right now we are working in converting SolidWorks spot lights in Maxwell emitters, it will make the setup of the scene easier for you, you won't need to model lights if you just want to translate the SW viewport lighting setup.

Juan

Thanks Juan :!:

I'm happy to hear that we will be getting a new plugin. I am particularly intrigued by the lights in sw being converted into maxwell emitters.

how do you plan on implememting this feature? Will MW assume a certain geometry for the various types of lights (Point, spot, directional) and create an emmiter body or will they be theoreticaly derived (Infinite plane, point in space, etc.). If you are creating a geometric body for the lights, will we be able to then modify them within sw or mw?

This opens up a lot of possibilities and I'm eager to start playing with it.
