Material Assignment Tree - ?

Fixed issues with the launch of the materials assignments tree:
New option in the materials list menu to launch the materials assignments tree (there is also an option to enable/set the shortcut key)
(When the shorcut is enabled, please check that the selection filter is set to faces/bodies/components)
Anyone got this working in the new plugin when it would not work in the old?
I'm still not getting it to work. In the preferances - I set the keyto "Alt." and tick the box. Close down SW - restart SW - Applied a few materials to a few components in an assembly. While holding down the "Alt" key I double click on a component , but no Material assignment tree comes up - Am I doing this right ?

Hi Jonathan,
Just some questions:
- What happens if you try to launch the tree with the RMB menu option? does it work?
- Could you do that with the Maxwell task pane visible and with the "autohide" option of the task pane disabled?
- Could you set the selection filter to faces/bodies/or components?
Once we see the assignment tree in your system we will try to know why the key shorcut is not working in your computer.

RMB on a component - I get the Usual SW menus - I have customised it to show all.
ALT + RMB - A very very brief flicker of a menu flashs.

Same thing happens when the Task pane is visible with the 'board pin' not stuck in and when the 'board pin' is stuck in. No menu

I have selected each of these ( the one in the maxwell task pane) but they make no difference . RMB does not give any Material assignment tree.

If this helps - I've just gone through the SW Tools>Customize and looked at where Maxwell appears - found it on a few things but nothing to do with the material assignment tree

Sorry, I was not talking about the usual RMB menu but the RMB menu of the Maxwell Task Pane, you will see an option to launch the tree. Just select any entity and then lauch this option.

Sorry Juan - can't see what you mean - I've select a component but the task pain does not provide any access to the Tree.
See a screen shot - it stays like this whether I select a component or not.
Click on the picture for a better res.

I am stupid - finally clicked in the correct place - RMB on the actual list of materials
- the Material Assignment Tree appears.

You have a lot of intelligence, it is just that I could not get your point of view. I am glad it works now!

Flattery will get you everything !
the 'click' doesn't work , but its difficult to selcet a component anyway - SW is always going for edges. So I'll always be using the RMB on the materials list in the future anyway. I work on th KISS principle.

Got it to work using the rmb in the Maxwell pane.
But after assigning a shortcut key and checking the box, if I click on something the assignment window comes up without holding down the key (doesn't matter which key is assigned) unchecking the tick box prevents the window from opening at all unless rmb in the maxwell pane.
Had quite a few CTDs with the "Use key shortcut to launch assignments dialog" check box checked.
Also have no icons in Maxwell window.

Juan,
I still can't get mine to work. The icon is always grayed out.
Any ideas ?

OK, it worked with the ALT key, but the icon is still gray.

Hi adam,
What do you mean with "the icon is grey"? You mean that the "Launch Assignment Tree" item of the RMB menu is disabled?

Never mind. The icon was for filter components ! In the video it looked like that was the icon for Assignment tree. And it was gray, because I was in a part file, instead of an assembly file.
Sorry for this confussion on my part.
