I guess it is something related to the output file, can you use a different path with no spaces?

Like:

c:\temp\

You can put paths with spaces in this version too, when you open PM globals, look in the mxs and image output path, this includes the current work directory but not a name, you need to write one. It will be fixed in a few days.

i know you want to implement selection per part (solid) but sometimes it's handy to select just faces..like this one losid can have different materials, without exploding it

We are working on that issue, soon you could assign materials with the select-rectangle.
