Maxwell and RealFlow for c4d floating license?

Hi there,
I recently purchased the RealFlow for Cinema4D floating license and read how difficult the licensing will be setup.
Come on guys - please find an easier way to setup licensing! It was a pita to finally get Maxwell up and running again and it looks like it is even worse to get RF to run.
there are still some things that I don't understand...
1. For Maxwell I use my floating license by setting the rlm up and using a floating license entering the license nr from the portal website and that works.
for RealFlow I have to use a static(?) IP (though I'm travelling all the time?!) but it says nowhere how to find that IP, and then if I use the RLM already for another program (i.e. Maxwell) I have to edit the host.lic file to another port number, otherwise it screws the rlm... nice - why can't that be automated?
2. I want to use RealFlow on 2 computers. my everyday workhorse laptop and the pc at home. therefore I got a floating license.
now - one question that I cannot find anywhere in the documentation: According to the documentation I should do the licensing on one pc (that will be my laptop) and then copy the host.lic file to the other (my home desktop pc). Do I need to have the laptop running when using the desktop pc in order to be able to use RealFlow in Cinema4D?
3. in the Cinema Plugin there are only 2 options for licensing: Demo or node-locked license - why can't I start to license the floating license there?
4. the RF demo videos don't show the current plugin!
5. is there a RealFlow forum?
thank you for any help you can give me. It would be nice if you could find a way to make things easier again...
