Mazwell Renderer grossly distorts surfaces

New to Maxwell. Hope someone can help with this. I have a pretty simple media cabinet built in Rhino. Rhino shows it correctly in any preview mode. Rhino also renders it as expected. However, in Maxwell Renderer via the plug-in most of the surfaces are grossly distorted, rectangular door frames become oval or circular etc. The overall shape becomes unrecognizable. When the model is imported into Studio, the preview looks correct, but when rendered the same problems occur. This model was being successfully rendered up to a point and then for some reason I can't figure out it all went south. I'd love to show a couple of images before rendering and after, but I can't figure out how to include images in my post. Help with this would be appreciated as well. Thanks in advance.

Maybe you've switched the camera from Thin Lens or Pin Hole to something like Spherical or Fish Eye?

Upload your image somewhere (I use Dropbox) and insert the link in between of the image tags like this:
Code: Select all[img]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7241725/geometry-test-mxs.jpg[/img]

Dramatic thread title

From what you describe it seems somehow you've added the subdivision modifier to some objects and/or have displacement for some materials and they are set to catmull subdivision mode?

Yes! Sorry for the drama & thanks for giving me something to investigate. Hopefully the link below will work correctly and you can see what I'm talking about. Does this support your suspicions?

I thought it was the lens at first hearing but after seeing your pdf I think Mihai's subdiv answer is more like it.

Just check the material and/or objects that are rendering this way. Most likely you've added a displacement component to the material applied to those objects and it's set to Catmull subdivision mode.
In the future you can use something like imgur.com to upload your image, you get a "Direct link" from them, paste it in the post window, highlight it and click the "Img" button in the top row of buttons in the post window.

Problem solved. Hours of grief. One check box (subdivision) to solve problem. Thanks for helping the rooky.
