Rendering inclusions in glass

Hi,
I am looking for a way to render glass that matches the glass we made for this chandelier: http://coupdetatsf.com/wp-content/uploa ... taine2.jpg
Would like to do so to more accurately, or creatively represent the glass when I do variations on the design using this glass. Ideas I have for how it might be done is, umm...texture map with depth, intersecting geometry, image combination, or voxelization. I am a part time user who is an artisan designer. I figure some of you more hard-core users would know of a solution or be able to figure one out.

Thanks,
Magnus

I did this by using nested dielectrics and matching the Nd. I know it's not quite what you are looking for but maybe something frosted (rougher) but with the same Nd inside something clearer?
