Hello,
I am thinking to change the computer. Currently I am using i7 3770 which gives me 12 min in maxwell benchmark.
For me very important is to have fast prev with FIre in viewport, so question is what will be faster:

i7 5960X
or dual E5-2630v3

For rendering 32 xeon threads will be faster of course, but how is it with dual CPU and multithread rendering in FIRE?
Maybe i7 will be better choice here?

Thanks

That which is good for Maxwell Render is good for Maxwell FIRE, so you will be fine basing your decision on what you find on the benchwell page, where we can see that aside from price, the question mainly comes down to (a) whether or not you would feel comfortable running an overclocked i7, and (b) how important it is to you, the performance of applications other than Maxwell. In Maxwell, 32 threads @ 2.4GHz with the Xeons is the quickest option, putting you in the 4 minute range (~7.5m for 16 threads), but then, all of your other applications will also be running at the 2630's slower max turbo of 3.2GHz. An overclocked 5960X, on the other hand, is capable of nearly that performance in Maxwell, with times around 5 minutes not being uncommon; at stock speeds, it yields performance about 1m better (i.e. ~6.5m) than a single 2630.

At the moment buying a E5-2630v3 is really not a good deal. The new 2630v4 will be available in a few days....you'll get 2 more cores for the same price :)

Hello guys,
I just wanted to say big thanks! :)
Finally I was checking f I can use 2x E5-2630 v3 or v4 (in the future) with OSX installed but unfortunately not.
So I went old mac pro with 2 x Intel R Xeon R CPU X5650 2.67GHz and I have 6m22s which is very very nice comparing to the old 12 min with I7.
I am happy and indeed FIRE is much more fun to use!

edit: Also I've noticed much better viewport performance with quadro 4000 vs old GTX 670 with 4GB so I am also here very happy.

Thanks!
