Multilight I+C Error when mixing Daylight and Emitters

The short description:

Image

Mixing emitter light and daylight seems to be a problem when multilight is set to intensity + color

Image

Looks okay when multilight is off, or when multilight is set to intensity only.

---------------

Even in the problem image the image looks fine when either daylight or emitters are set to no light (using multilight), but make the illumination from each non zero and the mix looks filled with black pixel noise.

UPDATE:

I can't independently duplicate the problem so there is more to it than just multilight I+C while mixing sky and emitter.

Here is the scene itself:

This scene was created by a friend of mine. It contains ghost emitters in front of a roughness 12 metal wall and daylight sky is on as well.

I tried to diagnose it. At first I thought it was about power mismatches. I also thought it might be caustics through dielectric since the emitters had transmittance 1 1 1 (Nd 1) but ultimately I think it's a multilight I+C daylight+emitter problem.

Yes, this is a known error when using color multilight. Hopefully we'll have it fixed soon.

Best,
Fernando

'Yes, this is a known error when using color multilight.'

Is there a place where 'known errors' are listed in an up-to-date manner, because that could save many people a lot of trouble.

I guess there are too many errors to keep track of easily. I really try to remember all the caveats in my head but its really hard

I do think an up-to-date bug list would be worth the effort, and it nothing to be embarrassed about. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt sales if thats the reasoning for not having one.

Heres a quick list off the top of my head;

Additive materials
Caustics of caustics
hide to gi
grazing reflections on micro-bumps

Hmm.. thats all i can remember right now.

There should be some proper ticket system where we could easily track known bugs.
Bug reports section lacks little bit of moderation :|
