license question

I have a MR Suite floating license and one node locked license. I purchased the node lock license for some who works for me remotely. Is there a way for the remote node locked license to be linked through my RLM server? We tried putting in my computers info that is running the RLM but it would not work. Said it could not activate the license.
Error validating license.
The license file has been correctly written but this system cannot connect to license manager.
Please check the IP and Port specified are correct.
It also maybe due to a firewall blocking the connection.
I will try temporarily disabling my fire wall.
EDIT: Still same error with fire wall off.
