Maxwell Render | Official public forum

Hello
i tried before to create vdb file with houdini and it work fine with version 3 ( vdb converted from objects )
yesterday i tried the same with houdini 15 ( vdb converted from pyro FX : Explosion ) but always maxwell studio and render stopped when i use fire or render the scene !
i follow these steps :

with VRayVolumeGrid the vdb file loded without problem in 3dsmax

i think the problem with maxwell and realflow also
maxwell can't read vdb file converted from pyrofx

Hi Seghier,

there was a bug inside the extension, when getting the bounds of the vdb grid and other couple of things. Hopefully, this fix will be out in the next patch.

one question, how do you load the file in RF? Using graphs ?

when i loaded the vdb file ; realflow closed
and i didn't tried that again

i had the same problem with the new version
and the last version of openvdb is : 3.1

You're right, it doesn´t work. Something went wrong compiling the final package. We're fixing it.
