Hdri reflections soft?

Hi everyone, just a quick question.

How come that my HDRI reflections look soft in my renders. I use a 10000x5000px high res Hdri, but my renders come out too soft. Any ideas?

Thanks

Could you share a test render?

Try to insert small sharp dot on desired HDRI in Photoshop. Here is tutorial

To get more contrast in render play with Gamma Correction in PS ( Image -->Adjustments--->Exposure ) - Best result is between 1-0.75 depends on HDRI

Here ya go. The cube in the middle of the picture has a material with perfect reflection applied to it.
Any ideas why the reflections are so jagged? Even other high res HDRI's do the same thin!

looks like that's an aliasing problem caused by how bright the light is coming through the window .... you need to tonemap it better , it might be the case you need to export as exr and tonemap elsewhere as a 32bit. Either that or see what you can manage in maxwell's controls and do some post elsewhere to regain contrast.

... doh

just realised that is the hdri reflecting in not an interior , in that case is it a poorly captured hdri maybe?

What's the resolutions of your HDRI? Have you checked Interpolation [x] option?

You should adjust the settings of the HDRI reflection in the Maxwell Render studio - increasing the setting will emphasise the reflections more.
