Nasty textured decal preview bug in 3.0.1.0

I'm experiencing a nasty textured decal preview bug that has "infected" many of my MXMs (referenced): In Studio, I have a texture displayed that is not even used in the materials in question and the "Set texture displayed in viewports" option only gives me the non-existing texture as an option. When I open the materials in the material editor, it is not there and I can set which texture I want to have displayed - only that it isn't. This is most peculiar!

Also, newly created MXMs have this non-existing texture "baked in" when wanting to change which texure is displayed in Studio. And, yes, I have checked that there is no texture hidden in Global Bump or anywhere else in the MXM.

Why haven't you updated to the public release yet? It's currently 3.1 on the main download area, and there is also an update in the betas area.
Also, newly created MXMs have this non-existing texture "baked in" when wanting to change which texure is displayed in Studio.
I can't confirm this. Have you tried with a brand new scene, and just creating a new material?

Regarding the first issue, what if you Edit it in MXED, and choose another preview texture there, then resave it? Try also restarting Studio and see if that clears any textures you may have used before.

And update to the current version :)

I don't want to update in the middle of a two-week job...

I try with a new scene and existing MXMs and a new scene and recreated MXMs.
