Leaf material - hints for me?

I wonder if anyone of you could give me hints (or a short how to) of creating a nice Maxwell Leaf Material.
Alpha, color and transparency textures exist, but up to now I cannot make the leaf translucent or to look real...

Maxwell already comes with the leaf material, I think you could use it as a good starting point.
/Applications/Maxwell 3/materials database/mxm files/thinsss_treeleaf.mxm

There are also several leaf materials at Maxwell Render Resources.

thank you! I was checking some tutorials in german that had a confusing setup and strange sequence (the screenshots were either mixed up or had nothing to do with the sequence as described) so it was hard to follow... nethertheless I managed to get a leaf material that looks okay.

Will check your sources as well and compare these > so I can build a material that suits me and that I can recreate.

Thanks again for the help!

found something that turns out to be quite okay...

btw: sometimes I get black stripes in the picture, but I cannot pretend when. the render might go on to SL10 without a hitch and then - BÄM - there is a thick black stripe in the render that doesn't go away. the funny thing: it doesn't always appear, even when there is no change to the camera or material or anything, just a resolution change. and even then I cannot predict it.

Does this happen also with the latest 3.1 beta? Because there have been some fixes regarding thinSSS and black stripes in the render. Please test it if you have the time and let us know :)
